Master Scuba Diver and Specialties

Reach the Highest Level in Recreational Diving

If you love diving and want to experience everything it has to offer, the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating is your ultimate goal.
It’s the highest non-professional level in recreational diving — proof that you’ve developed solid skills, explored a variety of diving environments, and earned the experience to handle yourself confidently underwater.

Becoming a Master Scuba Diver isn’t just about collecting certifications — it’s about building true mastery through experience, adventure, and fun.

How to Become a Master Scuba Diver

To qualify for the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating, you’ll need to:

  • Be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
  • Be a PADI Rescue Diver
  • Complete five PADI Specialty Courses
  • Log at least 50 dives

Once you’ve checked those boxes, you’ll join an elite group of divers recognized worldwide for their achievement.
