Course Structure

Our training combines three phases to ensure you’re well-prepared and comfortable before heading into open water:

  1. Independent e-Learning – Study at your own pace online. Learn dive theory, equipment basics and physics in a relaxed setting.
  2. Confined/Pool Sessions – Under the guidance of our certified instructors, you’ll practice key scuba skills in a controlled environment to build confidence and muscle memory.
  3. Open Water Dives – Take your skills into the real world. At Flaming Gorge or another local dive site, you’ll complete a set of open water dives with your instructor and buddy, proving your competency and earning your certification.

Certification & Beyond

Once certified, you’ll be qualified to dive up to 60 feet (18 meters) anywhere in the world. Your PADI Open Water Diver certification doesn’t expire—it’s your lifelong ticket to underwater adventure. With it you can:
